When little information leaked that President Donald Trump declassified information to the Russian government the media blow the things out of proportion. They are still doing this; they still spread lies and say that President Trump made a security threat to this country.
While they are busy and bash Trump all over, information leaked on the radar that the Obama administration provoked death or imprisonment of many intelligence sources due to breach.
The Chinese government systematically dismantled C.I.A. spying operations in the country starting in 2010, killing or imprisoning more than a dozen sources over two years and crippling intelligence gathering there for years afterward.”
One of the men, according to The Times, had even been shot in the courtyard of the building he worked in as a message to his colleagues: don’t help the United States.
Perhaps even worse, the security breach that caused the outing of the agents hasn’t been discovered seven years after the purge began. The International Business Times reported that investigators couldn’t even determine whether it was a mole within the CIA or whether the hacking of databases had been responsible.
However, two former senior U.S. officials put the number of intelligence sources killed or imprisoned at 18 to 20 individuals, which was enough to “effectively (unravel) a network that had taken years to build.”
This was also before a 2015 security breach which gave the Chinese a peek into government personnel records, so we at least know that this neglect was consistent. And Obama was nothing if not consistent.
The Times’ piece was published Saturday, and while it’s gotten some low-key travel throughout the mainstream media, it hasn’t touched off the kind of alarums that it should have.
Meanwhile, what are we talking about? Trump and Russia, of course.
This is a thing that Congress needs to look into. Major change should happen around. The media should put a second look at this case, where over a dozen American agents lost their lives under Obama’s watch.
